I am a UX/UI designer and engineer with 24+ years’ experience. I have worked with a diverse set of clients including financial services/ fintech/ banking, public sector, e-commerce, aviation and hospitality.
I have an engineering background and a suitable understanding of technology. I have worked with developers and solutions architects in working out design solutions to technical challenges. I have also overseen design implementation to ensure accessibility of the design as well as it's responsiveness including cross browser and cross device compatibility.
I am an end-to-end designer and can take a project from a one line brief all the way to working with the technical team and going live with the product.
I have in-depth research, and lab as well as field testing experience that one will rarely find on a "designer" CV.
I used to be an advertising creative director in my past career so I understand creativity in a broader sense to designers who have only practised theirs' in the product space. I have a solid understanding of brand and the implications of a brand on a product and vice-versa.
I have worked as a solo designer and also as a part of a team. I have worked with startups as well as with large established organisations like Natwest and HSBC. I therefore have the kind of flexibility and malleability that I imagine most organisations will appreciate - put me in any environment and I will thrive.
I would like to think that I am a well rounded designer with experience across a broad spectrum of design disciplines from traditional web, print and motion graphics in the past to the more modern UX research and design.
